The goals of our Group Homes program are to foster the growth of participants’ self-reliance and help them prepare for safe, independent living. To facilitate this, Pine Castle owns and operates five community group homes (two for women, one for men, two for coeds) that serve up to 36 residents.
Through the assistance and guidance of 24-hour staff support, residents learn homemaking skills such as cooking, laundry, housekeeping, grooming and decision-making. In addition to improving ones self-care, group home environments provide opportunities to develop and maintain social relationships within the community. And to ensure a high level of wellbeing during their residency, a registered nurse provides professional health care coordination, health monitoring and preventative care.
