Training and
Education Services Our goal is to
provide training, education, recreation, and work opportunities in a
facility based setting.
Depending on the skills, abilities, and personal choices of the
consumers, Pine Castle provides consumers the ability to participate in
a variety of activities that are offered daily between the hours of 8:30
a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The services we provide include job preparation training, paid work
opportunities, daily living skills, basic academic training, community
outings, recreation and leisure activities and special services for
seniors.

The TESS program recently expanded services to include multi handicapped
individuals as well as serving those with traumatic brain injuries.

Our goal is to
provide housing and the opportunity for living independently in the
community.
Group home living is a supervised and fully staffed home setting. In the
group homes, consumers receive the training needed to increase their
independence in the home and in the community. Training in the group
homes includes but is not limited to cooking, laundry, house keeping,
grooming, decision-making skills, and community interaction.
There are five group homes available at Pine Castle, all licensed as Long Term
Residential Care (LTRC) homes.The entrance criteria for admission is:
The applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
The applicant must be Developmental Services eligible.
The applicant shall have employment or day time activity.
The applicant shall not be dangerous to self or others.
The applicant shall be medically/psychiatrically stable to benefit from
the program.
The applicant’s ability to integrate into residential setting.
The applicant’s urgency for placement.
The applicant’s availability of funding.
A resident accepted for admission may be required to make an overnight
visit to asses suitability.
